Burger Bun

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 pinches salt
  • tsp butter
  • tsp yeast
  • 1 tsp egg beaten
  • Extra melted butter for brushing

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, butter, yeast, and beaten egg.
  • Knead the mixture for about 6 minutes until a smooth dough forms.
  • Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1–2 hours, or until doubled in size.
  • Divide the dough into 2 equal round balls and place them on a greased or lined baking tray.
  • Let the shaped dough rise again for 1 hour.
  • Brush the tops with melted butter.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (374°F) for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and brush again with melted butter while still hot.
  • Let the buns cool completely before slicing.
